As a long-term member of the chapter I would like to
reiterate a common theme that has been persistent throughout my 16 years of
membership in EO DC, you must “Own Your Experience”.
Participating on the board is a great way to significantly enhance the value of
your membership in EO DC by:
- Camaraderie with the Board
- Making a Difference and Having an Impact on What We Do
- Seeing What a Group of Awesome Entrepreneurs Can Accomplish
- Learning Organizational Best Practice that You Can Take
Back to Your Business
While we are currently in search of our next president, we
are always looking for members to join a board committee or become a board
member. Please reach out to Marsha Ralls, EO DC President, or Pramod Raheja, EO
DC President-Elect to volunteer.
EO DC is in search of our EO DC President for July 2019 –
June 2020:
They will also serve on the board as President-Elect from
July 2018 – June 2019.
Qualifications:
All nominations must have served on the EO DC board for two
years in two separate roles and be a qualified member in good standing.
Due Date:
All nominations must be received by the nominating committee
in writing via email by December 29, 2017 at 5 p.m.

Nomination:
All nominations should document qualifications and
provide a biography and platform (up to two pages) that will be provided
to the chapter.
Process:The nominating committee will contact all nominees to
ascertain interest and commitment by January 5, 2018.
- Candidate information will be provided to the board by
January 12, 2018 for approval and to the chapter within 5 business days
after that.
Voting:
a. Each Forum can have one representative attend the election and cast one vote
b. Forum
representative must be registered in advance and be present to vote (no proxies
accepted)
c. Board
members can not represent their forum
d. Each
Voting Board Member can cast two votes (no proxies accepted)
e. Each
forum is limited to two voting board members
- Exceptions
are made for President and President-Elect
The results of the election
will be communicated to the participants at the end of the evening and to the
chapter within one business day.
