Please join us for our annual Global Student Entrepreneur Awards with Keynote Speaker, Debra Alfarone. 

GSEA is a competition designed to recognize and support undergraduate students who enrolled in an undergraduate program at a recognized college or university, own a revenue-generating for-profit business that has been operational for a minimum of six consecutive months.  It is a catalyst that inspires students and young entrepreneurs to start, grow and make their entrepreneurial ventures THRIVE. Student entrepreneurs compete through local, regional or virtual competitions to win their shot at going head to head against the best student entrepreneurs in the world at the Global Finals.


Our Keynote Speaker will be Debra Alfarone, CBS News
Debra Alfarone is a Murrow award-winning television Anchor, whose live reports and features can be seen on WUSA9, the CBS station in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. Debra is also a highly-sought-after public speaker. Her 2015 TEDx Talk entitled “The Secret I Held My Whole Life – And How Changing 3 Words Set Me Free” inspires and empowers people to consider how the ‘labels’ they wear, consciously or subconsciously, may be holding them back. Debra speaks at and emcees events for non-profits and organizations that strive to make life better, including Habitat for Humanity, Dreams for Kids DC, Mentors Inc., FAIR Girls, DC SAFE, Changing Perceptions, and the Charles County Correctional Center. She also mentors thousands of journalists through social media and one-on-one coaching, standing for their greatness and encouraging them to tell the stories that need to be told.
